Luxury Accommodation with Stunning Sea Views, in Exmoor National Park Sinai House was built in 1850 as a gentleman’s residence, for the Lord Mayor of London. It became a hotel in the 1930’s and a guest house in the 1960’s. We bought Sinai House in 2016. The house is built into the hillside of Sinai Hill so offers the most incredible sea views over to the coast of Wales and across to Exmoor, Countisbury Hill and Big Red. Victor and Alison purchased this dream home in December 2016. We have 8 luxury rooms. The guest lounge is quiet and relaxing overlooking the sea from both windows, with a swap library, games, large comfy chairs and sofas where you can meet friends and hopefully make new ones! Breakfast is served in the Dining room with sea views between 8.15 and 9.15 and eating on the balcony is possible in summer. The bar is very well stocked with local ales, ciders and a selection of wines. Off the lounge and dining room is a large balcony where guests can sit out with a coffee or a jug of Pimms. The décor is in keeping with the age of the property but while Sinai is a guest house it is our family home too, so you may find a few bits and pieces from our time abroad with our 4 daughters. The gardens are very secluded and terraced with seating areas. The garden path wonders down to Bottom Meadow car park, so has easy access for walking into Lynton. Lynton is a quaint village perched over 500ft above Lynmouth, where Exmoor meets the sea. Sinai House is situated 100ft above the town so all the amenities are close by. There is plenty to see and do in Lynton. Sinai House Hotel is situated on the Lynway, a 10 minute walk from town or the beautiful stream-side paths of the Watersmeet Estate. Join from the town the South West Coastal Path, Britain's longest National Trail with over 600 miles of way-marked paths. Lynton, or ‘Little Switzerland’ offers peace and tranquillity for all to enjoy. Sinai House has its own parking for 7 cars. Sorry no pets or children.
