If you are luck enough to be on holiday in a guest house in Lynton or a hotel in Lynton then what a great short break or weekend break you are going to have. There are just so many attractions that are waiting for you that you will join that happy throng of people who just have to come back again and again. The attractions are so vast ranging from the towns of Ilfracombe, Woolacome, Croyde, Barnstaple, Bideford, Minehead, Dunster, Parracombe, Trentishoe, Combe Martin, and you could even manage a trip to the Eden Project in St Austell Cornwall without too much trouble. Apart from the towns what do you do, well that list is virtually endless. When you leave your hotel in Lynton in the morning you may be going to play golf, go horse riding, go surfing, swimming, a ride on a steam train, sit on the beach, ride a bike, play golf, go cycling, it's all there waiting for you.
At your guest house in Lynton you will have a great breakfast ahead of you, and when that's done you will be thinking "that's it 'till dinner" but come lunchtime with all the restaurants and cafes around you may have a small snack with a pint in the local pub, and then the afternoon takes on that marvellous rosy glow. As you shut your eyes and think of the activities that you were going to do, well the thought is that's there is always another day! Then back to the hotel in Lynton and a lovely dinner awaits. Is it 3 or 5 course? Should you have a bottle of the house red? What great decisions to have to think about! After dinner, it's still early so what's better than a gentle walk down to the seaside and after the exertion to find that very marvellous thing, the Devon pub. Whether it's summer or winter, sitting ether with a pint of Devon beer, possibly brewed in Barnstaple, and the world is a great place. Try your luck at darts or just carry on chatting to the landlord. Talk about tomorrow and all the activities that you intend to fit in. After a very short time you will find that your holiday is over, but don't worry, there is a solution to this very pressing difficulty. Come back again. Some people actually book their next holiday before they leave so that they can be sure that their favourite room in their favourite accommodation will be waiting for them next year, or maybe even again this year, that's the beauty of short breaks, whether they are in the summer or winter. |
